Distance Learning Support

At Start Learning we pride ourselves on our friendly and supportive tutors. Your tutor support will start as soon as you receive your course and will be valid for 12 months. All our tutors are highly qualified with extensive experience in supporting distance learning students. Home Study Entry Requirements

This course is suitable both for beginners and those who already groom dogs and no previous experience is needed. However, as the course requires a great deal of time, effort and attention to detail, it is not suitable for anyone with back problems or repetitive motion injuries.

At Start Learning we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and study further, so we try to keep our entry requirements to a minimum.

Recommended Hours of Study

We recommended you spend approximately 110 hours of your time studying for the Level 3 Award in Dog Grooming. The pace of study is completely up to you. To give an example, if you dedicate 2 hours a week to the course it would take you a year to complete but if you could spare 4 hours a week you could complete it in six months.

A:No, however, there are a series of tasks and assignments throughout the course that must be completed.

A:Why not approach your friends and family and ask if you can groom their dogs for free? This will really boost your confidence!

Q:Do you include work tools with the course?
A:No, this is a theory-based course. If you plan to start your own business you will need to buy the relevant equipment.

Q:How can I set up my own dog grooming business after taking the course?
A:The course features lots of information about how to set up in business working for yourself. Don’t worry, it’s not as daunting as it sounds!
