Qualification

Level 2 Award in Beauty Therapy plus a Start Learning Diploma

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Level 2 NCFE Award certificate of achievement. That means that it is independently accredited at a level of learning equivalent to level 2 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Awarding Body Information

NCFE is recognised as an awarding body by the qualification regulators ('regulators') for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The regulators are the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland

This course is marked through a process of continuous assessment guided by your tutor following NCFE guidelines. This means that your qualification will be awarded according to your performance on assessments rather than by taking an exam.

A: The course has been mapped against the National Occupational Standards for the Beauty industry set by habia.

Q: Will I be able to become a Beauty Therapist after taking the course?
A: As this is a theoretical course, you should gain some hands on training in a salon or practise on friends and family, and then with this qualification you will be fully accredited.

Q: What are the qualifications required to enrol onto this course?
A: No qualifications required

Q: How long do I have access to the personal tutor service?
A: The personal tutor service is available for 12 months from when the study materials are received.  At Start Learning we aim help our students to the best of our ability; therefore we are always delighted to answer questions and queries out with the 12 month period.

Q: Do your courses meet the latest syllabus changes?
A: yes, all our course materials meet any changes and will be updated free of charge if further changes are made.

Q: Is this Beauty Therapy course paper based or on-line?
A: Our Beauty Therapy course is paper based and comes in an attractive folder.

Q: What happens if I’ve paid for the course but find it unsuitable?
A: Not a problem as you can return the course to us and we can give you a full refund. However, the course must be back within 7 days and in resalable condition with the security seals intact.

Q: How do I complete the course?
A: We send the full course out to you; you then read through the course in your own time and complete the assignments which you send to your tutor for marking. There is no word count for these assignments. However, one sentence answers will be rejected and you will have to re-submit it for marking.
