Recommended Hours of Study

We recommended you spend approximately 110 hours of your time studying for the Business Finance course. The pace of study is completely up to you. To give an example, if you dedicate 2 hours a week to the course it would take you a year to complete but if you could spare 4 hours a week you could complete it in six months.

Qualification

Qualifications

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be awarded the Level 3 NCFE in Web Design.

Examination Centre

There is no exam as such, although you will be required to complete a series of tutor-marked assignments. There is no word count for these assignments although you do have to prove to your tutor that you have fully understood the questions asked.

Awarding Body Information

NCFE is recognised as an awarding body by the qualification regulators ('regulators') for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The regulators are the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland

Assessment

This course is marked through a process of continuous assessment guided by your tutor following NCFE guidelines. This means that your qualification will be awarded according to your performance on assessments rather than by taking an exam.

FAQ's

Q: How long do I have to complete the course?
A: 12 months. If we update the course, the information will either be posted on our supporting website or sent to you free of charge.

Q: What happens if I’ve paid for the course but find it unsuitable?
A: Not a problem. If you return it within seven days as per the terms and conditions on our web site www.start-learning.co.uk., we’ll give you a complete refund. We do, however, charge a £20 fee for administration costs.

Q: Will I be able to become a professional Web Designer after taking the course?
A: At the end of the course you should have the confidence to create a professional website. You can then decide whether to look for a job as a junior web designer, or run your own business as a freelance web designer. We can offer you advice on finding work within the industry or even in starting up your own business.

Q: Will I require further training?
A: Web Design is constantly changing and it is advisable to consider courses in Dreamweaver, Adobe, Flash, E-Commerce but all this depends on what level you wish to reach. If you designing websites for small business or clubs then our course is sufficient, if however you want to design sites for larger E-Commerce companies then you will need to consider other courses.
